When they loot, they keep in Switzerland,when sick, they go to Germany, India or Israel. When investing, they go to America or UK. When buying mansions, they visit London, South of france, dubai, USA, Spain & Ghana. When shopping, they go to Dubai, France, Italy & Swiss. When on holidays, they go to Bahamas, Brazil, France, Malayasia, Turkey, U.S.etc. When educating their children, they select Europe, Canada & America. When praying, they go to Saudi Arabia, Vatican city or Jerusalem.
Former governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for money laundering and corruption and alleged theft of $250 million by The Southwark Crown Court 9 in London
He spent $200,000 (£126,000) per month on a luxury lifestyle, including running a fleet of armoured Range Rovers.
"If the same amount of money looted from Nigeria economy for the past 30years by their leaders were also looted from Britain, Britain by today will no longer exist as a Region"-David Cameron (British Prime Minister (November, 2011)" Everybody is sprouting opinions abt Ibori's UK conviction & faulting our justice system.(true enough it is a sorry mess) but I can't help but wonder,where r d people who gave him a chieftancy title?where r those who attended his parties?d girls he gave car gifts?d praise singers?...We throw our values to d dogs & empower these politicians to rob us cos we worship their ill gotten wealth... I fault our values system
Ibori got 13yrs prison sentence in the UK, what will other corrupt ex governor in nigeria get? Case thrown out, as it has always been? What a mockery of our judiciary. Do we even have law in this country? Why are EFCC cases against the corrupt office holder always thrown out of the court? Who are this judges?

Ibori was extradited from Dubai to the UK in April 2011 and Detective Inspector Paul Whatmore said it was estimated that Ibori stole around $250m (£157m) from his state.*Delta state*He engaged in “wide-scale theft, fraud and corruption when he was governor of Delta State.” He even used a false date of birth when he ran for governor in 1999, to conceal previous convictions. According to prosecutors, he is 49, but according to the date of birth he used in Nigeria he would be 53, skynews reports..
Ibori’s wife Theresa, sister Christine Ibori-Idie, mistress Udoamaka Okoronkwo and London-based solicitor Bhadresh Gohil have all already been convicted for their part in the money-laundering.
